As a kid, I never found a music studio teaching the music I liked - pop music and today's musical theater. Everywhere were classical music teachers focusing on the path to a conservatory. Fast forward to 2016, and I decided to open the studio I wish I'd had, and Horizon Musical Studio was born!
In 2016, I graduated from this Tacoma university with training in classical voice, music composition, and music education.
This celebrated contemporary music program gave me training in contemporary Broadway performance and multiple genres of pop music.
My membership with the Tahoma chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing brings me to frequent conferences, masterclasses , and lectures on contemporary music education.
My extensive professional experience includes work as a K-5 school music teacher, musical theater director, and clinician for musical ensembles in Tacoma and beyond.
